Why Work With Me?

Wild, Expressive Designs, Always Kind To The Planet

Hi, I’m Esme : The hands and heart behind The Honey Seeker Floral Design. Read more …

My unique value is rooted in fusing seasonal and wildly choreographed florals with storytelling and personality – all while being ridiculously kind to the planet! No guilt, just genuinely beautiful blooms grown with conscience.

I’m based in Somerset, but my flowers love a road trip around the South West.

My couples? They’re the creative, colour-loving souls who want their flowers to actually feel like them (and maybe make their guests say “wow” more than once). Think unforgettable floral artistry that gets people talking on the day and reminiscing for years to come.

I love nothing more than to dream up meaningful arrangements with a bold flare and sustainable edge: your vision plus the quirky little love stories you share with me is what shapes it all.

Together, we’ll create designs that are expressive, meaningful, and unapologetically yours.

Planning Should Feel Like Magic (Not Stress-Inducing Spreadsheets)

Planning should be joyful – read on to see how I make this happen…

Full of excitement, anticipation, maybe a few happy tears (the good kind, not the “why are there 38 ribbon shades!?” kind), and certainly plenty of laughs!

Did you know? My husband tells me my calls and conversations sound like I’m catching up with old school friends, not meeting couples for the first time – wouldn’t you just love to feel so at ease with your florist?

My job is to make sure the flowers are the easy part.

I’ll work closely with you, your planner, your venue team, and whoever else is on your wedding dream squad, so everything flows together seamlessly. No faff, no crossed wires, no “who’s supposed to move the urns?” moments.

The result? A day that feels effortless, looks extraordinary, and lets you relax into the moment with your favourite people, while I’m behind the scenes making the magic happen.

A Seasonal Symphony With A Side Of Storytelling

From flower-farm to floral design, read on for my take on working with the seasons…

We are incredibly lucky to live among an abundance of fantastic flower farms, which is why 95% of all my flowers are grown right down the road from your wedding venue.

Working with the seasons is about embracing the story of the landscape and the time of year you got married and I want to honour that; after all: flowers that grow together naturally belong together.
Nothing forced, everything flowing naturally, free from plastics and pesticides.

I’m the luckiest floral artist going, getting to pick from nature’s finest and weave them into designs just for you. Think abundant bouquets, immersive installations, and delicate details that stir the senses and give you goosebumps like a beautifully staged performance.

Your season creates the backdrop, your love story takes centre stage.

And the flowers? Well, they dance with you.

An Immersive Floral Experience

From the moment you get in touch until the last petal is swept away, I’m right here with you…

I’m guiding, creating, and making sure the whole process feels effortless. You’ll never be left wondering what happens next; I’ll keep you in the loop every step of the way, and you can lean on me for as much (or little) advice as you need.

Your flowers aren’t just flowers. They’re your stories, memories, quirks, and your heritage all wrapped around each other, arranged into something that feels completely you.

It’s floral storytelling, designed to have your guests reminiscing long after the last glass of champagne.

If you’re tying the knot in Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Bath or Bristol, or the Cotswolds, and you’re dreaming of creative, magical flowers that connect every part of your day – I’d truly love to be part of it.

Abundant, lavish, large pink bridal bouquet.

Hi, I’m Esme, founder of The Honey Seeker Floral Design and the hands behind your wedding flowers.

Like many florists, I found my way here when I realised I could sit behind a computer screen no longer!
I have always been a creative soul and, in 2017, I attended a floristry talk where something just clicked and I knew this was where I needed to be. I haven’t looked back since.

Along the way, I discovered that not all floristry is as romantic as it looks. Some imported flowers, and even large-scale farming practices, can leave a bit of a thorny trail being them: for the planet and the people working with them.
That’s why I choose to work predominantly with seasonal, British-grown flowers, sourced from local growers whenever I can.
Anything else I use is carefully traced back to ensure it’s being grown as sustainably as possible. This means your designs are not only fresh and full of character, but they also tread a little lighter on the earth.

Outside of floristry, I’ve been a lifelong ballet and tap dancer. I’m drawn to bold colours, a lot of sparkle, and the theatrical magic of set design.
These influences weave their way into my floral style, where your wedding flowers become a stage for your story: expressive, graceful, and full of personality.

Based in the heart of the Shire (Somerset), I spend my days surrounded by the rolling green hill, often out on muddy strolls with my dog, Bronson, trying not to get caught out by cows… and yes, I am powered almost entirely by English Breakfast Tea.

So, let’s not waste another moment. Contact me here to embark on your floral journey filled with beauty, boldness, and a story that blooms just for you.

FAQs

How do I enquire?

By clicking right here – I can’t wait!

Do you have a minimum spend?

No minimum spend, we should all have beautiful British flowers to hold on our wedding day.
I do, however, offer packages with different price points and you can view these here.

Do British flowers last as long as imported?

Yes! Longer I’d say – and so do my couples who have come back after their weddings to tell me so.

Do you charge for delivery and labour?

I do charge labour costs, in the past I have tried to incorporate these expenses into the arrangement prices but it can make costs of individual arrangements seem incredibly high when compared with another florist who separates out these costs. The truth is many weddings are simply not possible to set up in time without a good team around me and I need to be able to pay them for their time and effort.
Delivery is charged for The Reverie (essentials) package – smaller wedding packages aren’t always as cost effective and therefore I need to charge for travel. For larger budget weddings I do not charge delivery.

What areas do you cover?

Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Bath & Bristol, and the Cotwolds

I’m having a winter wedding, what flowers are available then?

Working with the seasons means you’ll have the very best that works wonderfully with the time of year you are getting married. I’ll use foliage in a range on incredible colours, berries, branches, and the British flowers that are blooming (yes, we do have them – narcissi, tulips, chrysanthemums for example). And, of course, stunning dried flowers, the whole range. With enough notice, I can dry anything you want.
The best bit about dried flowers? Your wedding flowers are already preserved and ready to be kept forever.

What happens to my flowers after my wedding?

They are yours to keep, if you’d like to, perhaps friends and family would like to take posies home to enjoy as well?
Everything else I will collect the day after and transform into other beauties or compost responsibly.

Do you use plastic?

No single use plastics. I’m probably one of the only florists you’ll meet who can proudly say they don’t throw anything in the bin after clearing down a wedding. And no floral foam!

I want my flowers preserved but I’m having all white flowers – will this work?

Absolutely. No matter what colour flower, we cannot guarantee they will keep their exact original colour, and the same goes for white flowers. Some stay beautifully white while others will beautifully fade to a creamy tone. I say don’t worry about it, they will still look stunning.

Can you collect my flowers to preserve?

Our flower preservation packages include collection and delivery, provided they have been booked a few week’s in advance. If you got married yesterday and want to save your flowers, please do get in touch – we’d love to help if we have space – but we cannot guarantee we will be able to collect at such short notice.

What is your sustainability mission statement?

When we first started out on our floristry venture in 2017, our eyes were opened to the sizeable carbon footprint that came with imported flowers.
Naturally, we ended up travelling down a rabbit hole far larger than Alice in Wonderland’s and discovered that, not only do imported flowers come with thousands of miles on the clock, but they are treated with an unregulated amount of harmful chemicals, and many of these farms, unfortunately, do not practice fair trading standards with their workers.

Did you know?

– Imported flowers make up 86% of the UK’s cut flower market. We believe we should be celebrating our local landscape and push seasonally grown and influenced designs!
– Imported flowers are treated with dozens of nasty pesticides, at levels 10x higher (and more) than safety standards allow on produce farms (fruits and veg). These chemicals stay on the flowers and are absorbed by your skin when you touch them (or the buttercream on your beautiful wedding cake). It is important to us that our couples have organic flowers just as they would have organic food at their wedding.
– Not only do these chemicals have a direct negative impact on you, me and the flower farmer, but on the insects that come into contact with them as well – whether you like it or not, a healthy insect population is vital for a healthy planet and we need to take care of them as well!
– Worker’s on flower farms are not always treated with the respect they deserve and if you are a big believer in buying fair trade cotton, tea and coffee, and chocolate (to name a few), then let us provide you with flowers that have come from British farmer who gets paid a fair price.
– It doesn’t stop at flowers – we never use single use plastics and are proud to say we can leave a wedding without throwing anything in the bin. Right down to the wire (which usually gets chucked in the bin, so is as bad as a single use plastic if this happens). We swap out everything we can for natural products such as twine, chicken wire, grass of responsibly sourced moss, and we never EVER use green floral foam.

If you have any questions or want to learn more, please get in touch – we are always happy to talk about how we can all make changes to help our planet x
